Camp Koda Head Counselor

As The Camp Koda Head Counselor you will be responsible for the safe operation and instruction of all day camp activities and:

   1) supervising camp counselors and helpers

   2) scheduling of activities,

   3) evaluating staff

   4) camper check-in and check-out

   5) evaluation of the program

 

The Camp Koda Head Counselor plans, executes and evaluates the day-to-day operations of Camp Koda to ensure everything runs smoothly and campers have fun while exploring, discovering and learning, from all the actiities.

 

Program Director

POSITION BRIEF |  We are looking for an experienced Program Director to supervise a wide range of programs the Academy offers. You will be responsible for the delivery and overall success of each program, supervise managers and inform management on progress and performance.

 

The Successful Program Director Candidate must have:

   A broad knowledge of program management principles.

   A strategic mindset as well as be able to lead and develop their subordinates.

   Excellent organizational and leadership skills

   An analytical mindset with great problem-solving abilities

   Excellent communication skills

 

THE GOAL  |  To ensure every program will be delivered successfully and add the highest possible value to the program paticipants and AAES.

 

RESPONSIBILITIES

● Initiate and set goals for programs according to the strategic objectives of the organization

● Instrumental in the planning of new programs from start to completion involving deadlines, milestones and processes

● Develop budgets and operations

● Devise evaluation strategies to monitor performance and determine the need  for improvements

● Supervise all program and project managers involved to provide feedback and resolve complex problems

● Discover ways to enhance efficiency and productivity of procedures and people

● Apply change, risk and resource management principles when needed

● Ensure program operations and activities adhere to legal guidelines and internal policies

● Keep senior management informed with detailed and accurate reports or presentations

 

REQUIREMENTS

● Proven experience as program director or other managerial position

● Thorough understanding of project/program management techniques and methods

● Excellent Knowledge of performance evaluation techniques and key metrics

● Outstanding knowledge of data analysis, reporting and budgeting

● Working knowledge of MS office and program management software

Working Student

Do you live and breath horses, have a positive attitude, great work ethic, work indepently, are a quick study and have strong social skills? Are you looking for an opportunity to learn from professional horse trainers, barn managers and other team members from behind the scenes. This position allows students to truly see all sides of the sport and work with all of the little pieces that go into creating the big picture.

Your attention to detail and can-do attitude will set you apart. Your work ethic is critical.

Jack of all trades. Repair fences, much stalls, water horses, grease machines, minor repairs to structures, grounds maintenance. Must be able to work independently.
